Support Workers offer shopping services, whether that be groceries, picking a prescription or even help with an online order.
Our shopping service is ideal if you’re unable to get to the shops, for example while receiving treatment, self-isolating, recovering from an injury or caring for another family member. Our hand-picked local Support Workers will collect your shopping and medication, then unpack it safely in your kitchen, or leave it at a safe distance if required. Should you choose, this service can be combined with other home help services such as cleaning, dog-walking, and laundry.
Can I go shopping with my Support Workers?
Yes, absolutely. All you need to do is discuss with your Support Workers on your first visit what kind of trips you will require and whether you would like your Support Workers to do the errand for you or if you would like them to accompany you.
How do we account for mileage or shopping costs?
Mileage and shopping costs are not included in the hourly rate your Support Workers charges, so you can decide on this arrangement with your Support Workers. We advise discussing the best way to pay for these with your Support Workers so that you are both clear of payment arrangements from the beginning. If you have any questions at all you can discuss it with our friendly team who will always be happy to advise.
Help with online shopping
If you prefer to do your shopping online, our Support Workers can support you with getting your online shop organised. You could even schedule your delivery time for when your Support Workers visits so they are there to unpack and put the shopping away too.
